Thank you for your interest in We Heart Seattle (WHS), an action-based movement dedicated to making Seattle more beautiful and safe for all.
We organize trash cleanups in our public spaces and offer a helping hand to those in need. WHS gives volunteers a way to restore Seattle’s environment by clearing out litter. Along the way, that includes being a positive force in the homelessness crisis, by offering unhoused folks we meet important resources and a chance at treatment or housing. We advocate for change while restoring our parks, alleys, sidewalks, playgrounds, greenbelts, and bike trails. Our impact to date includes:
- Removing over ONE MILLION pounds (500 tons) of debris from Seattle’s public spaces in 26 distinct Seattle zip codes in just three years,
- Assisting over 200 people off the streets, and
- Facilitating voter registration and volunteer activities to magnify civic engagement.

Support the Movement
Your contribution enables We Heart Seattle to organize large-scale debris cleanups in public spaces and provide personalized outreach support to people in need.
All donations are unrestricted. Examples of how your donation is used:
- Procuring the supplies (tools, bags, personal protective equipment), truck rental, and dump fees that enable volunteers to restore public spaces
- Funding our successful stipend program which enables people living outdoors to participate in our clean-up efforts
- Assisting with housing readiness steps and interim shelter costs, e.g. detox, rehab, shelter before services are available
- Paying fair hourly wages to our second-chance work team
- Providing nonpartisan voter education and public policy interaction opportunities
